Frequently asked questions.

What’s the difference between a psychic and a medium? Are you both?

Great question—and yes, I’m both. The simplest way to explain the difference is by where the information comes from.

A psychic tunes into your personal energy and the energy around you. That might include insights about your life path, relationships, career, or choices you’re facing. It’s like reading the energetic “weather forecast” of your life.

A medium, on the other hand, connects specifically with the spirit world—loved ones who have passed, guides, or other spiritual presences who wish to communicate. It’s not about prediction but about connection, healing, and messages from beyond.

Not all psychics are mediums, but all mediums are psychics. Mediumship builds on the same energetic sensitivity that psychics use—it’s essentially a more advanced or specialized form of that ability, requiring the channeling of energy from beyond the physical world.

In my work, I move fluidly between both abilities. Sometimes your own energy speaks the loudest, and sometimes it’s a spirit who steps forward with something to share.

How do I prepare for a reading?

There’s not much you need to do—just come with an open mind and heart. Be honest with me and yourself, and don’t be shy about asking what you need to ask. The more relaxed and genuine you are, the easier it is for energy to flow and for messages to come through clearly.

For your own peace of mind, I sometimes recommend jotting down a few questions or the names of people you hope to connect with. Readings can sometimes take unexpected turns or get emotional, and having a few notes can help you stay grounded and make sure you don’t forget anything you wanted to ask.

Can I request a specific loved one?

Yes, absolutely—you can ask! I’ll always do my best to connect with that person. However, spirit communication isn’t like making a phone call. I act as a vessel, and it’s ultimately up to the spirits who decide to step forward. Sometimes someone else comes through first with a message you may need to hear. I often can reach the person you’re hoping for, but it’s best to stay open to whomever decides to visit.

I recently lost a loved one. How soon after their passing should I book a reading?

It helps to give a bit of time and space before scheduling a session. In the early period after someone crosses over, their energy is often still adjusting. Some spirits may feel unsettled, confused, or simply not ready to talk about the circumstances of their passing. Others may hold back out of love, wanting to protect you while your grief is still raw.

There’s no fixed amount of time you must wait. You’re welcome to schedule whenever you feel called to, but it’s important to understand that certain details or conversations may unfold more clearly once both you and your loved one have had time to settle.

Trust your timing, listen to your intuition, and know that your loved one will come through in the way—and at the moment—that serves everyone best.

What if nothing “comes through”?

That’s pretty rare, but it can happen. Some readings are just “harder” than others. The best way to keep things flowing is to stay open and relaxed—energy moves best when you do! If you’re feeling closed off, doubtful, or distracted, it can make it harder for messages to come through. That said, if truly nothing comes through, I wouldn’t charge you. It just means the timing isn’t right, and I’d simply wish you well.

Can I record my session or take notes?

Yes, of course! You’re welcome to record the session, jot down notes, or even hire your own personal scribe if that’s your style (though quills and parchment are optional). Many clients like to revisit their readings later—sometimes messages make more sense with time. Whatever helps you remember and reflect is perfectly fine with me.

I also encourage it because I truly act as a vessel during sessions. When I connect, I step out of the way and let the messages flow through me rather than from me. Because of that, I often don’t remember much of what was said once the session ends—so having your own record helps capture those details for you.

That said, recordings are for personal use only. I respectfully ask that they not be shared publicly or posted online. It’s important to me that readings stay private and that my voice and work aren’t distributed without my consent.

Are readings confidential?

Yes. I follow a strict ethical standard and never share details of a reading without your explicit consent. Your session is completely private.

Also, as I’ve mentioned before, I often don’t retain much from a reading once it’s over. Because I act as a channel and step aside to let the messages come through, I rarely remember the specifics afterward—so your experience stays both confidential and uniquely yours.

What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. I don’t take deposits, so there’s no fee for a late cancellation or no-show—but I do ask for the courtesy of advance notice. It allows me the chance to offer your spot to someone else who may be waiting for a session.

Can I set up a group reading or event?

Sure! I love doing group sessions and special events. Just reach out and we can talk through the details—location, group size, and the type of experience you’re looking for. Whether it’s a gathering of friends, a family session, or a larger event, we can create something that fits the occasion.
